About the maintenance
What maintenance does the AeroGuard require?
The AeroGuard requires minimal maintenance. To ensure optimal reliability, replace the fine dust sensor with a genuine one. We recommend doing this annually. You'll automatically receive a notification via the app and/or dashboard when the fine dust sensor needs replacing.
The original AeroGuard fine dust sensor is the only sensor designed, tested and certified by the original manufacturer, Plymovent, to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and durability.
Thanks to its clever design, you can quickly and easily replace the sensor yourself, using just a screwdriver. This ensures your AeroGuard continues to measure accurately and reliably, and you can easily comply with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
How often should I replace the fine dust sensor?
On average, once a year. But this is difficult to predict exactly. It depends on how often you use the device and the level of pollution in the room where the AeroGuard is installed. A timer (total operating time) will notify you when the fine dust sensor needs replacing. You don't have to worry about it yourself. You can easily install the fine dust sensor yourself; all you need is a screwdriver.
Can I update the operating system?
You don't have to do that yourself. You'll always have up-to-date software thanks to automatic, secure over-the-air (OTA) updates. This ensures you always have the latest features, performance improvements, and security patches. Once you've purchased your AeroGuard, you can be sure you'll enjoy it for years to come!
Cybersecurity: Updates are encrypted and comply with the latest cybersecurity guidelines (such as the European RED requirements). This ensures continuous protection against digital vulnerabilities and ensures your AeroGuard remains secure and reliable for years to come.
